Hi!
I'd like to take this opportunity to repeat a procedure I have here
which I find invaluable when looking up past messages I've received
from this list.
I have created a rule in Mac Mail which copies all messages from this
list to a separate email box, thus I have 2 copies, one in my in box
and the other in say another mailbox dedicated to this list, let's
call it Mac Discuss.
So now I have a mini archive of the subjects which have been
discussed here and I can search it at any time to bring up messages I
may be interested in by doing the following.
I go to the Mac Discuss mailbox by interacting with the mailbox
outline with VoiceOver and then type command-option f to bring up the
find text in mailboxes dialog, I then type in what I'm looking for
and tab to the messages table.
Here the results of my search are displayed, I can sort them using
the "sort" sub menu under the "view" menu.
Other people may have tips for searching in Mac Mail but I think this
is one of the best search facilities and certainly one of the easiest
to use I've ever come across in an email client, its just as good to
use as say the search facility in Eudora though Eudora's is far more
powerful as you can specify criteria or multiple criteria for your
search and I'm not aware of this facility being available in this
version of Mac mail, its a pity but there we are.
