Please do me a favor and see if an application just called mysql is now installed on your system. If it is, I may have downloaded the wrong file or perhaps not. After the admin utilities that's what you normally start to connect to data bases created by users so you can work on specific data bases.

Mine is the mysql database install, not any admin stuff, that is a different thing, you may indeed want or need both. Sorry I did not fully notice your specific.

gui tools are at:
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html

The folder indeed contains two apps along with a widget.

In the DMG file is a folder that you should be able to copy and paste into your Applications folder. Verify that you have the "MySQL Tools" folder selected by the VoiceOver curser by using Control Option F3 F3. After that verification attempt to copy folder by Command C or by contextual menu Control Option Shift M.

The widget can be moved into a folder named "Widgets" which can reside in either the Library within your home directory or within the root of the hard drive (You may need to create the folder).

The item in the side bar is mysql gui tools for 5.0 over here and the package has no preference pane and no readme file in it. I think you got a better package than what I managed to find.
