hi but then the command tab command will show all applications not
just those in the current space, right?

Here is how you might use spaces with VoiceOver.
The Spaces system preferences let you assign particular applications
to a particular space so you could go in and make certain
applications launch on a particular space. Now you can switch space
with either the control right and left arrow keys or with the spaces
menu. Each time you start an application that has been assigned to a
particular space it will start up in that space. So you can have a
space for email and chat and another for web browsers and so on.

OK, so what about setting up just 4 spaces without trying to figure
out how to add multiple programs to a space, and then press F8 to
at least see if F8 will toggle the spaces. Is it hard to set up
spaces, like I said I don't have Leopard yet?

drag and drop with spaces will not work. There has been some
discussion of how to use spaces with VO but it seems from what
I've seen, it's better left alone right now.

Listers I am listening to a pod-cast about Leopard and the guy
said to press F8 to move between spaces, then drag and drop a
application to the desired space. I don't have Leopard, but can
someone try this and report back to the list and let us know if
this in fact works for us? I don't understand the layout but if
the spaces can be created and we can press F8 to toggle each space
then we are in luck, lets see.
