Hi Josh,

I can use spaces quite effectively by either using control with the arrow keys to navigate to the four spaces that i have set up, or by using control with the corresponding number.

For example, in my first space, the one that appears when Mac oS X starts, i tend to use this for e mail and general communications, and the second for my uni work, i.e. word processing etc.

If you leave Voice Over's very strange sounds set to on, then you'll hear an audible tone when moving from one space to the next. I have also found that if you leave the applications open in each space, i.e. Mail in the first space, then if you get a message, you can simply command tab to that application and yowl be taken directly to the space where the application is. If however you close the application window but still have the application running, and then decide to open the Inbox window, it will be opened in the space you are currently occupying.

I have not rid this with anymore than four spaces, but i assume it would work.

Hope this explanation helps.

James,

How are you using it that it is useful? I can as yet, find no way of having it cause any useful change in the system. How do you ahve it set up and how are you using it? Thanks.

Shaun,

Spaces is very useful for us. I use it all the time. But as a list member i think it was Jude, pointed out, the only thing that is a bit inconvenient is that you can command tab between all open applications not just the ones for that specific space. But apart from that, it is a very useful feature.
Hope this helps
James
