I can't use the mac mini to burn dvd's since it hasn't got any of the 
supported super drive types in it.  I don't know if I could have purchased 
that when I bought the equipment or not.  I would have purchased that 
capability had it been available and offered.  As things stand, this 
machine can't handle DVD's any better than the 1999 vintage Dell machine 
it sits close to in this apartment.  I only found this out by running 
idvd.
