Hey all. Sometimes when I try to shut down my Macbook, it doesn't shut down. I know this, because when I try to boot it up, I don't even hear the startup sound. I have to hold the power button down for ten seconds or more. Then I let up, and it comes on just fine. Also, I am looking for a way to defrag the Mac's hard drive if necessary. Can someone please tell me if there is an accessible and free app that will allow me to do this? Thanks so much.
