Hi
Yes you can do it with iTunes for Windows, provided you have either window-eyes or jfw (System Access won't work for it, as it can't see any content in the iTunes window). I posted instructions for this about a week and a half ago, or I can send the message again--it was kind of long. My iPod is an 80gb classic as well.

Hi. There is a registration screen that comes up when you first plug in your ipod, you will need to either get sighted assistance to get past this, or I think that you can do this with windows somehow. I'm not sure how. Someone on this list was able to do it a while back. I don't have an ipod classic I have an ipod gen 5.5 and I think it's a bit different from the classic. Hopefully someone who has gotten past this will chime in. Otherwise you can get assistance. Once you get past this screen the ipod settings are visible. Just make sure the ipod is highlighted in the sources list and then to the right is the scroll area with settings.

Good afternoon everyone:

A little more investigation on my dilemma.

I attempted a trick that was provided to me by this list a few months ago. basically, I attempted to move a file from the purchase list to the ipod via the mouse. the old locking the VO keys and pressing F5 until I located the ipod in the sources menu. it took a sec though guess what? I dropped the file on the ipod. do not ask me what folder it landed in or to find it though I know it is on the ipod.

there has got to be a better way than this though it does work. I will require some sighted assistance to see where it went though I do know the ipod works.

so, now I wonder if I can move an entire folder ... although I cannot tell where it is going.

more will be revealed I guess.

Take good care and I wish you enough.

Good afternoon everyone:

OK. I know this has been covered before so please indulge me (smile).

I just received an ipod classic 80 gig and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get anything move onto it from my itunes library. If I perform a VO + shift + m function on an item the only options I am given in terms of lists to move them to are purchases and test ... a playlist I created though not on the ipod.

I cannot get itunes to automatically sync with it to move things automatically from my itunes library to the ipod. I have a few audio books, a train load of podcasts and a fair number of songs.

And, what confuses me is sometimes I will see an ipod icon on the desktop though the only folders in them are notes, contacts, and one other which I cannot remember at this moment.

Long message. any ideas?

Thank you so much in advance. I know I am missing something obvious though for the life of me I cannot figure it out.

Take good care and I wish you enough.
