Hi Patrick, Jacob, and Holly,

The link to Jacob's post about registering his iPod Classic (through
Windows) is at:

http://www.mail-archive.com/discuss%40macvisionaries.com/msg27245.html

This seems like a good time to remind people that there is a searchable
Mail archive of the Discuss list at:

http://www.mail-archive.com/discuss%40macvisionaries.com/

It supports searches by date, author, keywords, and Boolean arguments
and returns a Google-like brief summary of posts containing the search
terms with a couple of lines of surrounding context, and links to the
matching posts.

When you select a post, at the bottom of the page there will also be
links to other posts in the selected discussion thread.

Since registering iPods has been discussed before, I included Jacob's
name (as author) in the search, and typed in:

from: "Jacob" iPod register
(minimal matching of the Author's name enclosed in quotations after
the word "from:" with a colon at the end; search keywords "iPod" and
"register" used here; default is to search the entire archive)

More information on the search syntax can be found at the archive FAQ:

http://www.mail-archive.com/faq.html#search

which gives examples of different searches.

HTH

Cheers,

Esther
