Hi Scott,
You said: When I'm in the finder and I used command plus shift plus k to get to my network to copy a file, or even command plus shift plus c to go to my computer and then o to open the network, it shows 0 items. I haven't changed anything so don't know why this would be happening.

TK: What network devices do you have connected? Are you connected to a Server or some other computer? If so, the best way to access this sort of thing would be:

• press cmd-shift-c to open the computer.
• navigate to the share-name or computer-name you wish to access.
• press cmd-o to open.

Another thing you can do to help is to go to the Finder Preferences (cmd-comma when at the desktop), in the general pane for show these Items on the Desktop, check the box that says something about connected Servers. That will give you quick access to all connected servers because there will be an icon for each placed on the Desktop when you log in to a server or network share.

Later...
