try a different mode, icon or list.

Hi Tim.

I have the same problem too. The problem is we can't see any computers
or share names. The network is just empty. My sighted parents can see
the computer on the other side of the screen, and if they move the
mouse over to it, VO just reads it fine. I can't find it with VO. I
have tried to check the network in the finder preffences, but I can't
see it on the desktop either.
