Hi Tiffinitsa,
You said: I got my account set up. It downloaded all of my messages,
so I have to
delete them from the client. However, if I don't delete them from the
server, they'll keep coming back when I check for new mail.
TK: Not really. I have three different computers that I check my
Home eMail with and messages are not downloaded to the same computer
twice. That is, if I use my MacBook, (where the Mail settings have
the messages remain on the server), to read Mail messages, I can read
them, then I can Quit Mail and come back another time, and only the
new messages that were not downloaded previously are brought to my
MacBook. Therefore leaving messages at the server is not an issue at
all. The only problem will occur if there are size restrictions on
your server but it doesn't appear to be a problem for you since you
have 15,000 messages.
TD: Also, how do I quickly get to the top and bottom of the
list? There are alot of
things that I'd like to delete or I might just want to quickly get to
the newest mail and not have to go through all the other messages.
TK: On a MacBook, once you've Interacted With the Messages Table,
press fn-shift-VO-left arrow (Home) to get to the top of the Table.
Press the same key combination with the right arrow to get to the end
of the Table.
TD: Also, will it still thread things as does GMail or will I get
tons of
individual messages for one topic as I used to do with other services?
TK: Under the View menu you can tell the messages to be organized by
thread.
Later...
