There are two free program that produce digital talking books.
DTBmaker, which I wrote, is a simple program able to produce from
either Text to Speech or from live recording. It is free and can be
found at http://w3.wmcnet.org/dtbmaker/
The other is the Daisy Pipeline, a more professional tool it will
produce from text files and will soon have support for pre-recorded
content as well. you can find it here: http://daisymfc.sourceforge.net/
