At present I am not a Mac user and therefore cannot run Quicktime movies.

Would it be possible therefore for you to extract the audio and produce mp3
files as I would very much like to see how these tasks should really be
performed.

Had it not been for encouraging words from members of the list I think I
would have given up on any further interest in the Mac.
