Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the list. I'll comment on a few things you mentioned between your comments. My responses will be denoted with my initials, TK. A few things have already been answered so I'll not answer them again.

You said: I love learning new sorts of things. I love to play with everything at once and figure out as much as I can by trying. After all, I don't think you can distroy teh computer by just trying things. Well you could if you messed with system files, but just trying out all the programs and settings and things... And then if I can't sort something out I go to the help files...

TK: That's a good way to learn the MacOS. It's actually quite difficult to harm the System files as well because you would need to enter an Administrator password when modifying any such things. That would be your hint to leave that one alone. Also, all Help documentation resident on your Mac is accessible and readable with VO.

Your questions:

1. Is iWeb useable with VO? From what I've seen on the Mac website I think I could use it with magnification, but having speach at least to some extent would be helpful like for menus and things.

TK: iWeb is not very VO friendly in the content areas. You will note though that, as mentioned earlier, all menus would be accessible as well as the Help files.

2. Is it possible to edit videos? I'm thinking again that this will have to be done with magnification, but are the menus or at least the help files readable with VO?

TK: Yes, for sure. iMovie comes pre-installed with your Mac and is used just for that purpose. The Help files are accessible, the menus are read by VO and some of the buttons are labeled. iMovie is an excellent video editing application that even handles HD movies and is so very easy to learn and make awesome home movies.

In case you're interested, you can check out my web-site that has lots of info on how to use VO and the Mac in numerous applications. You can find it at:

Have a great day.
