Hi Scott,
Have you tried Apple Discussions? I only have a disk password
different than the Airport Administration password. I initially had
some problems with mine but everything working properly now.
A couple things to note:
• Your first backup should usually be done while connected with an
Ethernet cable due to wireless inconsistencies.
• Have you connected to the Time Capsule via the Connect to Server
method?
• Does it show as connected in the status when you open a Finder window?
I'll wait for your response before rambling any more.
Later...

Hello folks, has anyone used Time Machine and the Time Capsule to
perform backups over the network? If so, have you configured your
Time Capsule with account access as opposed to a general disk
password? I've been having some problems with one machine on the
network. Seems I keep getting an error from Time Machine stating it
can't find the Time Capsule disk. I looked in the logs and it shows
an error where it can't create a cookie file on Volume/Time-
Capsule.a bunch of numbers.
I've contacted Apple, but they are at a loss as to this problem
themselves. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts.
tnx
