Tim, just wanted to give you an update on what I accomplished. First it seems the account configuration is really only useful for backing up certain users on one machine or so I have been told. The best way to protect the data is simply use parental controls and prevent anyone from accessing the keychain application. This way you can use a disk password. It would seem however as far as I can tell, that while Time Machine is doing its thing, if the drive is mounted, the only thing anyone can see is the contents of the machine they are on. In other words if CrackerJack Mac is connected, then all you have access to is the data for that machine. Now this works since we all have different machines on the network, but if it were a multiple user situation, this wouldn't work as well for me. I'm still not sure I completely understand how this all works, but I anticipate Apple will enhance the AirPort utility and abilities of the Time Capsule. Customers will likely want some of these capabilities and if so, they'll find their way into the software.
Thanks for your help.
