that's true. I wish I had that option, lol. I'm finishing up my undrr
grad. who knows how long it'll actually take me to finish, I'm in my
third year but the courses I needed aren't being offered, go figures,
so I had to settle for other ones and it looks like I won't get done
when I was expecting I would. but hopefully sometime between now and
when I finish, OCR software will have improved!!!

about ocr programs for the Mac is that they are not kurzweil and
the
programs that you use to read the output of the ocr are not
microsoft word
for windows. That having been said, read iris is vo friendly and
works
quite well. I have not tried directing its output to anything
other than
text edit but from what I can tell, it does a faithful job of
preservation
of what is in the document.

exactly. I was wondering about this also. I know there's one called
