The one thing I know is that the fan was really loud at some point yesterday. I'm wondering if it fried something? I may be forced to buy an external hard disk now and just save everything on it so I can reformat this thing. I've never done that before, so do I need to save the os etc or can I just copy my music/documents over to it as I would with a floppy, cd or flashcard? In other words, can I access the drive as if it were merely another form of media or will Leopard try to boot from it? I know people use bigger drives than their internal but can I use one that's the same size or smaller?
