It is the Voiceover utility. It can be access through System
preferences or VO + "Shift" + "8".

also, you all seem to have much more blind time under your belt,
listening to the issues you are having with your computers sounds so
out of my reach as now, I have to laugh.I have only been blind for
just 2 years and a mac user for only a little bit. thank you all.
