Just a little word about processor speed versus performance. According to
Apple, although, for example, the new MacBook Pro's processor speed is less
than the previous model, they claim it's 40 percent faster, whatever that
means. For years, many people have said that clock speed is not a reliable
means of determining the actual processing power of the computer. Thus,
supposedly, a Mac with a lower clock speed could apparently out-perform a
Windows machine with a higher clock speed. I don't know whether that's
actually true or not. Please don't start a long thread about which computer
is faster. I'm only stating the possibility that it might be worth looking
into this claim by Apple, that's all.
