"Oh yes and although i heard Eriks when i stayed there in august/ September the sound system still blows me away on this!"

Dood, I knew you were in for a real treat there. I've got the new one now, had it for about aweek, and damned if I don't forget what the old one sounded like. When I turned it on for the first time I immediately thought of you and what a treat you were in for, because the sound on the new macbook is to the old one like the old one was to my old turion. What an absolutely fantastic job they did on that portion of the hardware.

3. Mail.

"Can I setup an apple mail account to use in there untill such time that I may decide to migrate my various other mail accounts into the Mac World?"
Hum, I think your web hosting is a lot like mine, in which case what I'd recomend is switching to Imap. If you need a temporary email account, get a gmail, or if you already have gmail, just enable the imap server and go to town. The thing about imap is it makes it very easy to migrate your mail, even keep your folder structure of saved messages in tact. I switched to imap for that very purpose and decided to keep it around so I could easily set up my email account on my mobile phone as well as my mac.

"4. Voice Over and HTML.

Having used Windows Screenreaders I've gotten used to being able to navigate these like I could in a word processor because of the buffer the text is placed into. How to I intract with HTML like this or...?

I've landed on several HTML Text in Help files and when I do VO Down Cursor to Interact it just bongs at me. though I can Interact with other things."
Actually, I've noticed this in some of the help pages myself. In safari, webkit, adium, and other places where html areas appear, you can interact with them. Once you've interacted with the html area, you can then use vo+command+h for headings, vo+command+j for form controlls, vo+command+f for frames and vo+shift+f for a big enormous list of all the keys in that vain. You can also press vo+u for the links list, or vo+i for the item chooser. The item chooser is the most useful thing you could have for the web, especially because the navigation keys aren't completely up to snuff yet in safari.

"Do I need to turn USB ports on in Mac OS? If so how? When I plugged my USB stick in nothign happened. At first I thought this was because it was FAT32, but was expecting something?"
You windows junkie you. No, the drive is probably working just fine. Command tab to finder, and then press command shift accent. That's the key above the tab on a north american keybord. What that will do is take you to the finder window at the very back of the rotation, which will be the desktop. Tab around the desktop and you should hear macentosh hd, untitled dvd, and the volume label of your drive, such as kingston, or removeable disc, or jump drive.
"7. Updates/maintenance

I have airport tuned on and it connected to my WIFI Network. Will the system auto update and run cleanups or is there somewhere I can go to configure this stuff?"
First, there's software update in the apple menue. Eventually it will prompt you, but ods on you are a bit behind on your updates since you only just took the thing out of the box today. Then there are disc utilities for repairing permitions and scanning your disc's surface for errors, but I forget where they are just now.

  Further learning.

Thanks heeps for any and all answers, I knwo this is a lot but I'm pressed for time as I was meant to have had this system 7 weeks ago, (granted it means I got the new Mac Pro now), but I need to get up to speed here as quickly as possible for final year projects.
