Yes, the latest versions of Webkit are significantly faster than the system-wide webkit. Even the latest builds of Webkit, however, are nowhere near as fast as Opera when working with Voiceover. They really don't even come close. Of course, speed gets you nowhere if you can't fill out most forms, but hopefully this is fixed soon. I actually don't have any issues with SA mobile email or forums with the latest Webkits. Several builds back there were some bugs with it, but these seem to have been squashed at least as far as I can tell.
