I don't have this problem with Safari crashing on the livejournal  
site, but I've got a rather annoying problem, that when logged into my  
account on the site, I cannot listen to peoples' phone posts, and  
it's  so annoying.  When logged out, I can listen to a phone post that  
isn't friends protected with no problem.   IT's sooooo weird.   On Dec

Well, JavaScript, but checking Java is a good idea too actually.

Other then that, I am unsure about checking to see if flash is both
running or enabled.

In Safari, there's an "Installed Plug-ins" item in the Help menu. It  
opens a page that lists all the plugins installed.

Look for "Shockwave Flash 10.0 r12". (That's the latest version.).

You can then check whether plugins are enabled or disabled with the  
"Enable plug-ins" checkbox in the "Security" tab.
