Let's get a large zip file containing many images, photos and templates. That's simple, and we don't have to wait 7 months for it.
One of the problems at OOo is that we keep postponing useful, simple things we can do immedately in order to wait for some alternative which sounds better on paper, but won't come for another 6 months. We tend to give up the bird in our hand, for the two in a the theoretical tree of the future.
We must change our thinking to a more action-oriented pov. Less dreaming, more results. We can *always* improve the thing later with the new tools that the theoretical future will bring. But that shouldn't preclude us from doing what we can today.
well, here is a challenge: let start NOW building the photo collection for this extra package. we can ask the members to the large OOo community owning a digital camera to submit a few photos made by them with this precise purpose of being included in the package.
if we get a number of people comparable with the voters for splash screen (thousands) the number of images will be overwhelming.
if we start now, i, for example, can provide a couple of dozens of images.
