I take Arkady's commment to imply that some quick usability stuides are in order.

All that's needed is a computer with OOo and some subjects and a note taker. If the note taker goes to the subjects, then it would have to be a laptop computer.

Give some users (advanced, novice, n00b) the task of opening two or three unknown files in a specific tool (Calc, Writer, Draw, etc.) using OOo2.0b and have them speak constanly about what they are thinking while they try this. This will give an idea about what is wrong with the current setup and how the users expect OOo to be.
