From what I read, you have found a way to utilize OOo to do similar as KeyNote etc.
Is this correct? If so how do you do it?

We're discussing different implementations for a separate application in the OOo suite specifically made for note-taking and the collation of documents. I'd personally like to see project come to fruition, and use the paradigm of tree-based note-taking (like KeyNote); as that is the way that has suited my work up to this point. Whether it is completely online, as suggested by Mr. Floyd, I'm not so sure about. I, personally, do the majority of my work on a laptop which doesn't have, most of the time, a connection to the Internet. Also, having it as a separate application off-line would allow for the user to link their OOo documents into their note-taking system. However, having the inter-Thunderbird capability would only increase the amount of functionality an application like this could have and having some online functionality would also allow for some serious collaboration. In regards to the Firefox plug-in project that was mentioned, I think what I was meaning was less like "notes" in the "sticky note" sense and more like small documents on a tree-structure, however, other users might consider a sticky-note solution to be all that they need so it might be worth while seeing if both could be implemented (especially, allowing for sticky-notes within other documents and maybe having them link back to a larger tree document).
