1) this is NOT a technical obstacle, so my friendly provocation still
holds

How much time and energy are you already "spending" every week to
keep the lists running in this way?
May I friendly suggest, in YOUR interest, that you just stop cold
turkey running in this Guinea pig wheel for a couple of weeks,
and use that same time to ask for help directly to the procmail list
and/or some friend at the closest LUG?
After all...
the lists and OpenOffice won't crumble and fall for your
absence
I can simply ignore [EMAIL PROTECTED] for a month or two, but *you*
are the one wasting more time, all the time...
asking directly for help would give you a solution tailored to
your particular Linux setup much more quickly than if I had to
act as intermediary (I would be going to ask for details on the
Procmail list anyway...)
