Is it? Never knew ... :) Actually, I think this wouldn't hurt when "demoting" the UI project. I can't remember (but that might be only me) something A11Y-related happening especially in UI. Yes, there's a lot of A11Y-development happening, but effectively, there wasn't a direct connection to UI at any time - was there?
