I'm sure that's all great, but you're comparing apples and oranges here.

Not only that, but that "additional functionality" is either currently available in OOo,or can be emulated by using another program.

MSO 2007 is a collection of programs. One can combine OOo with a group of other programs to have the same functionality as the collection that MSO has. On second thoughts, _better_ functionality, because the other programs can be selected according to specific requirements of the user.

can be run quite well on older hardware. Not every buisness or home user can afford to dump their investment in current hardware and software to buy Vista PCs and Office2007.

Most business do their IT on a three or five year cycle. They won't upgrade or replace all of their hardware and software in a single year. [Organizations that migrate to OOo can do so within a matter of months, because it either runs on existing hardware and operating system, or that hardware/operating system is scheduled to be replaced that year.]

I don't remember the date that the next big batch of Microsoft licences expires, but until licences expire, it isn't cost effective for a company to migrate to Vista/MSO2007, or any other platform.

The marketing project should be planning a corporate blitz six to nine months before those licences expire. There are major financial reasons for companies to switch to Linux/OOo instead of Vista/MSO 2007. The big hurdles is knowing what _significant_ MSO functionality OOo lacks, and being able to provide that functinoality in a separate FLOSS program, if it doesn't fit into OOo.
