Code is the currency. If you don't code, then feel free to use whatever
the developer code.
Developers should code to fit the users needs. You have the cart before
the horse.
Here is where you are wrong. Developers don't have to code to fit users
need. Developers code because they want to and to make technological
difference. Only commercial companies that are tied to deliverables and
schedules that are payed to do so are tied to the commercial environment
of the user.
User are not costumers in free software, users are the developers and
developers are the users. This is what you need to understand first. That
is why is called a community, is a commune you take some, you give some.
Your feedback is well over taken and answered, if you want something more
than an answer then you should give more.
You contribute with your feedback you got back an answer, we didn't just
ignore u like proprietary companies. You want actually to be developed
then you need to put more than your feedback, like some testcode.
For your information Sun DOESNT pay the salaries of all the developers.
I just translate 17000 strings of OOo for free dollars, with zero
cents. And you come and tell me that I don't care for the user.
I never said that Sun pays for all the developers, only most. Why don't
you read the post before running your mouth off?
Yes free software is most commonly free of price, but the service is
not, if you want to modify it, then u want a development service which
cost money. If you are willing to pay it.
In other words users are not supposed to request features or
improvements or report bugs but blissfully accept whatever the the
developer gods condescendingly decide they should have despite what
their real needs are.
Yes you got it! Unless you want o become a god yourself or provide more
gods to create this green earth.
