SharePoint is the new exchange. Reverse engineer sharepoint wil prove to be the next big hurdle for OOo adoption and reverse engineering sharepoint is a nightmare because the aplication is proprietary from the ground up.

My advice, recomend your company to change to an alternattive CRM that use XForms compliant technology.

I work in an office that has recently moved to Microsoft CRM. This has
SharePoint integrated into it for checking out documents related to an
account. I am looking for a way to get away for office as much as
possible, especially since this has required the use of Office 2007 to
work with SharePoint. Are there any plans for a plug-in for OpenOffice
that will allow this feature to work? I understand that what I am
asking for is a plug-in to allow an OpenOffice client to work in a
purely Microsoft Environment, however it would make for an easier
transition away from that environment.
