You are right, that ATM this does not work. And it did work in pré 2.4.0
versions.
Looking at the specs [1], I see no indication of this change.
Maybe someone of the developer-team (fl, mba?) can shed some light on this?
It is in the spec. See issue 78856.
Ah, I had an older version of the spec (April 2007) and did not see any
info on this before. But I think it is a good change for most use cases.
It is item 1.4 in the spec (rather short, and easy to overlook though).
