Well I read the interview and seems that Michael didn't said anything we
didn't really already know.
derStandard.at: There's been this rumor for quite some time now that Sun
might sooner or later drop out of OpenOffice.org development cause they
are not really making money of it. So what would happen in such a case?
Meeks: Actually I don't know if that would be an entirely negative thing.
I mean it would[n't] be appalling to loose Sun and the talent of engineers
they bring in....I just think it's a shame that Sun is having this great
engineering culture but when it comes to managing things it gets really
painful.
This remind me of the conference call we had with management at Sun and
could personally confirm many fears from Sun on topics of ownership and
managing criteria.
