Rob and Jerome, You may include my class/algorithm in the Restlet project. My use of the LGPL license is intended to allow people to use the class freely and without restriction - and while allowing the project to maintain whatever licensing it prefers.
My one requirement (for anyone else who happens to be reading this) is that people let me know when my code is being used in a project. You could imagine that an author wants to know these things! As for other people contributing fixes to the code that I originated: I believe it's fair to say that they knowingly contributed to a freely available piece of code, and if it wasn't clear that they wanted their ideas published, I made sure to ask, and I received permission before posting their fixes.
