I'm like 99% certain that disregarding previous work isn't how one takes on 
responsibility for an existing project.

I didn't disregard all the work that the previous Treasurer put into the 
position. Nobody melted down the prusa and used the components to build 
another one from scratch when I stopped actively working on it and someone 
else started to do more work on it.

I understand that you're not excited to see someone else working on the 
project you've put so much work into, but I don't actually see anyone 
describing the work you put into it as useless or that it should get 
discarded.

If you're upset about something that someone specific is doing, the excellent 
way to go about it is to discuss it with them directly instead of bringing it 
up on the discuss@ list.
