I'm like 99% certain that disregarding previous work isn't how one takes on responsibility for an existing project. I didn't disregard all the work that the previous Treasurer put into the position. Nobody melted down the prusa and used the components to build another one from scratch when I stopped actively working on it and someone else started to do more work on it. I understand that you're not excited to see someone else working on the project you've put so much work into, but I don't actually see anyone describing the work you put into it as useless or that it should get discarded.
