Hola again,
I'd like to discuss some less pleasant aspect of our works. I'd like to
know what problems you have by contributing to OOo, what frustration do
you have in regard of our community. In short, if I can help you sort
out these problems, I'll try to do it. Please, feel free to speak openly.
Taking that you ask, I didn't translate and I saw no reply to this
issue, I think it's worth to mention again.
Sorry I thought to have replied to you in the first place.
I think one of the most important things to evaluate the quality of a
product is that when a user is using a translated/localized software, he
doesn't realize that it has been "patched for his language". I've
downloaded the last beta2 125 for spanish people (supposedly) and I see
it doesn't include any spanish dictionary, but english, italian and
russian. I hope it's still time to fix this before the release, and
there are, IIRC, members of at least two projects about spanish
dictionares in this list that could add something to help you to locate
the dictionaries.
In fact, it's a little more complex than that...
Let me explain. You have spanish dictionnaries through the old "DicOOo"
developed by the french contributor Laurent Godard and now Community
Representative at the OOo Community Council. His add-on has been totally
integrated in the 2.0, so now, it's a wizard that you access this way:
File > Wizards . Now, if you open this wizard or "DicOOo" you will see
immediatly a list of languages, where spanish is not available. But this
list of languages is just the list of languages for the interface of the
wizard! Laurent has repeatedly asked for more localizations of DicOOo,
but if no spanish-speaking person came in, he didn't add the spanish
localization.
So even though I think that it's a little bit too late for the 2.0, it
should be all right for the 2.01. In this case, contact the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] list and Laurent will help you with the DicOOo translation.
But once again, the interface of the wizard may not be in spanish but
you do have several spanish dictionnaries available for download through
this interface!
Hope this helps,
Charles.
Saludos.
