John can we cut out the grand-standing, I am out of breath just keeping
up with all of your posts, most of them meaningless AFAICT. Having
appointed yourself leader and developer, please consider leading by
example, i.e. getting familiar with proven existing procedures and get
down to the work. It should be clear by now what is required, top of
the pile being TESTING and VERIFICATIONS.

Ah, now there's a thing. Can we list the order of statuses involved in
the bug process if they aren't already. e.g. new, resolved, confirmed etc
I figured that the packages on the list were 'Resolved' as in finished
and hadn't appreciated that they needed to be verified as well ?? Might
seem obvious to some...... but not all.
I presume there should be a link for the SME v9 page to the above where
it says :
"Verify fixed bugs"
I notice that leads to 40 odd v9 bugs + v8 ones.

What we need for v8 and v9, is a guide to testing. Essentially step
through each page in the server-manager and try everything, and check
the logs.
It would be great if someone could step up and create this.

Agreed - I think we need to have the information in place for people to
find and work on - I had someone on IRC today who was asking 'what can I
do' and I would have liked to have given them more specific work.
I hope you pointed that person to the verification page, I look forward
to the number going down.

On a related note I have started to create a list of 'easy fixes' and if
someone wants to work on those please contact me. That's a Devinfo topic
so I'll continue there.
