Hi Tony,

I did something similar some years back but gathered the data automatically
through the contribs I have published (Sme-unjunkmgr and
Dansguardian-stats). If you want to show something that anyone can be proud
of then the entire volume has to be there - otherwise you will only show a
dying distribution :-)

I created the Google map based in the IP address for the server that
provided data and I guess that you could do the same if you have access to
some central SME (contribs.org) logs. This would I my opinion be interesting
to see the actual install base and its location.

Regards,
Jesper

Subject: [discussion] Install statistics for SME Server

Hi All

We are wanting to start showing the world how many servers are actually
installed around the world and to facilitate this we have started
creating a map showing the locations of the installs. (These are only
down to the Town or Country of install)

To view the current map and graph go to
http://koozali.keane.co.nz/map.php these are very much still works in
progress.

I have posted to the forums and have had a few responses so far.

http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,50648.0.html

If you would like to participate in this endeavor and have you servers
listed please either post to the forum or email me.

Thanks

Tony
