The 'Test Internet Connection' in the console app 'phones home' with
data. Let's take a look at that.
I personally think that the data submitted should only contain:
a. Install date
b. Version
c. GeoIP location
d. Unique installer code
regarding d. When using a virtualization platform and 'cloning a VM'
this unique code will not change...
Food for thought.

Have we already take statistics like that ?
Even if the data can not be traced back to the server and only
contains aggregated data and no privacy related data?
Perhaps we should add a screen at the end of the installer to opt-out
and also invest in a proper data policy if we are to do any
submission, I think at least it should contain something like the
following:
- what data we submit
- what we do with the data
