First impressions after flashing the testing image: - expectation management: Sometimes it's depressing to see a nice icon in gmenu2x and then arriving in a bare console app. Maybe we can have a clearly visible 'C' in the corner of every gmenu2x icon that points to a console app?
- backgammon: very small font, not even necessary for the game (so the game only occupies the upper left corner of the screen) - gottet: very nice! not all controls fit on screen, segfault when leaving (maybe for every Qt app?) - NanoMap: segfault when leaving - aewan: colors in text menus make selection invisible (detailed menu text at bottom serves as hint though) - There were some apps where I had trouble quitting (guile, nightsky). Maybe we can have a system-wide triggerhappy hotkey to leave an app (ctrl-c? kill?) - vim: default directory is /usr/bin, maybe /root is better? - stardict: very slow on first launch (over 1 minute), English-only dictionary seems not very useful, are there other dictionaries? - tetris: when I started tetris the screen just went black, I had to press Ctrl-Alt-F1 to see that the game was already running - 'screen': when starting screen, I got an error message '/var/run/utmp not found', 'touch /var/run/utmp' made the error go away. I think screen could be listed in the terminals tab. --- Overall it feels like a lot of good progress in many places. Nice work! _______________________________________________ Qi Hardware Discussion List Mail to list (members only): [email protected] Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://lists.en.qi-hardware.com/mailman/listinfo/discussion
