It was never "due". It's always been a placeholder for the "next" device in the NanoNote line, but without any specific plans, let alone actions being taken to actually make it happen. The driving force behind the Ben - both in terms of organizing development and in terms of putting money on the table where that was needed (there's been of course also a lot of "pro bono" volunteer work) - was Sharism, i.e., Wolfgang. After the Ben, his interest shifted at least temporarily to the Milkymist. Alas, neither Ben nor Milkymist were commercial successes.
