Hi All,
I'm sorry for being late with my response.
Sun already intend to put Java 1.5.6 or a higher version, you can take a careful look at the CD label (  http://www.cs.biu.ac.il/biux/oo2.zip )
and see that it already includes Java 1.5.6 logo.
So - no need to start a discussion about this ;-)

[ personally, I believe and hope that eventually, Java will be released as an open source software, hopefully very soon.
there are a lot of "open source" winds blowing there in Sun's corporate.]

* Since I got a full confirmation from all the board members (Orna am I right ?! please confirm) ,
I will return to Sun with a positive answer regarding putting Hamakor logo. (I will ask for a very big logo as much as can be done ;-) ).
* I will recommend all the software Alon has mentioned ,hopefully, to be in the CD.
And specifically to include all Linux package formats (.deb .rpm .bin (self extracted format) )

Please let me know if I've missed something.

Regards,
Haim

I agree that we do not have the money to finance CDs right now, and that
it will be nice to have hamakor's logo on them.

However, I lost you on the stage of the java runtime non-free software.
What was the "above" in this regard? It is a non-FOSS, and it belongs to
SUN, so they can do wat they want with it. But where does hamakor come
in, asking for distribution of non-FOSS?

Orna.
