Hi Patricia - I will be there. I'm planning to submit a talk with general
thoughts on recognizing non-code contributions to increase D&I in OSS.
Aizhamal Nurmamat kyzy who is in my day-to-day-job's team will present a
research I launched on usability in OSS documentation, the research touched
upon a few D&I topics, I think it'd be very valuable.
@Rich - would it be worth creating a D&I track and announce it broadly? My
rationale is that by creating a formal talk we could incentivize folks to
create content on the topic. I believe the Chicago Roadshow will have one so we
could emulate. If this is the case, we could finish the track with a round
table or workshop to construct an action plan for 1 or 2 concrete deliverables.
I'm happy to facilitate this.
So, concrete follow ups: Let's figure out if we can open a track, if we can -
Patricia would you lead it? If you can't, then let's just keep the attendance
organized and ensure we at least have a BoF to work on 1 or 2 deliverables.
