I didn't miss it. As I understand it, In order to wake up the server I
need to send the local subnet a UDP (0xFFFFFFFFFFFF) followed by the
server's primary network card MAC address, and repeat that 16 times.
So, I will have to add a tab where you can enter the Server's MAC
address to put in the packet. I think that part is doable, but I need
to give some thought to it. When would I send the packet? I could send
it when SqueezeliteX starts, or resumes from sleep. I could send the
pack on a regular interval while SqueezeliteX is running, but that might
prevent your server from going to sleep as long a SqueezeliteX is
running, even doing nothing. One idea would be to send the packet
whenever you open the Squeezelite-X window. That way if you left your
computer, the server could eventually sleep, but as soon as you tried to
access it via the browser, it would send a WOL packet. Or something
like that. This is new territory for me, so let me know if that sounds
right or wrong. My LMS server (Raspberry Pi, 5 watts, so less than
$5/year) runs 24/7, so I've never had to worry about this before.
