I am _so_ sorry. When I looked for the file, I assumed it would be one of
the newer ones in the directory. Since it was in /tmp, lots of "sess" files
filled up, and I missed the fact that indeed there was a file with the
MessageID as a name (it looked random).

So, the Diagnostics are doing exactly what they are supposed to!

The "z tag headers:" at the top look identical to me to the ones in
the actual email. I copied them to separate files and did a diff.

There is one difference, the z tag headers show a "space" on the second
line of the "CC" header, whereas the original one appears to either be
a TAB, or more spaces.

No other differences. Also, it turns out that this was the file created
with the SSL error that I mentioned in my last post, not in the self
test version with sendmail.net

I just tested again, and even though the sendmail test generates a bad
signature line in the log, and a failed verification header, it does
_not_ create a file in /tmp. Only the failed SSL line seems to trigger
the debug file!
