Well, let's discuss this for a moment though. We have already seen one case in which AERO can be used where MIP-based solutions are deficient, i.e., in enterprise networks. But "enterprise networks" could encompass a very broad range of applications, including not only corporate enterprises, but also academic campuses, air traffic management networks, operator networks, ISP networks, etc. Like MIP, the default mode of operation for AERO requires a piece of critical infrastructure. For MIP, it is the Home Agent. For AERO, it is the AERO Server. AFAICT, therefore, an AERO Server can be placed anywhere a MIP Home Agent could be placed. Hence, the AERO service can be offered in any environment in which a MIP service could be offered. So looking at the services that already come in-built in the AERO architecture (distributed mobility management, mobile networks, route optimization, mobile VPN, accommodation of any IP version, no kernel changes needed, etc.) there would seem to be some points for comparison to discuss before a solution is chosen.
