Some spontaneous ideas I had while listening to this: Insert some pauses between your bass hits to increase the dynamics and add some funkyness. In it's current state it just goes round and round... which makes it sound very repetetive. The sound of the beats are nice, but they scream for ghost hits, funky fill-ins etc. I'd also try some more acoustic sounding hihhats, these are too high and fast IMHO. The electric piano sounds good, just try to vary the chord progression (with the help of the great music theory articles posted here some weeks ago ;), the same goes for the bassline. Put some work into this and this can be a nice liquid funk track. I hope this helps, maybe it's totally rubbish, because I never tried to produce this kind of DnB ;P peace Felix -- gyroscope :: drum'noise'bass :: http://gyroscope.cjb.net --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
