I have a Novation SuperBassStation.....it's way too hard to get non-acidhouse sounding sounds out of it......but since it's analog based it's sounds like pure liquid and has some nice distortion....I don't really mess around with it much now that I have the viruskb which sounds killer out of the box.....It (the bassstation) can act as a CV-GATE/MIDI convertor if you have an old old synth that doesn't have MIDI...could be handy....

Not exactly related, but got me thinking ... Anyone else using a Novation BassStation on the list?

Subject: [dnb-prod] Any Novation Headz there?

Hi,

Just a quick question, but again, i have been looking at getting a second hand Novation - and i just need to know what the latest sounds are like on the original Supernova compared to the ones on the Nova or the Supernova II - does anyone recognise obvious Novation sounds in any tunes that I could check out?

Are the sounds that different that they warrant the extra cash cos i have already decided that the spec of the Supernova II isn't really that different to the cheaper two (or is it?) and i'm not that bothered about a vocoder really. Unless anyone knows different in which case i might hold out for the top dog which at 750 second hand is getting more affordable.

Anyone else thought this through?

I remember Nick (Lankester) has one and the guy from New York - how did you guys come to choose a Novation?

Any help would be cool,

Thanks

Dan
