Umm ... cheers for the comments and tips guys ... have put them to good use already.
One thing ... what's a snare rush? :) Also should I mess around with humanise or similar at all on a snare? Seems like something that if overdone could seriously annoy a dj. My opinion of my track? Um .. I didn't have anything in mind really, generally I build a loop that I like then work around that. I think the sound of it is a little discordant, but in a different way. I go between liking it and not liking it. Most of the time I don't like what I do much :) I'm a little limited in that I am only using fruity/soundforge, and have nfi what other apps do stuff, like for example what generally do you guys use for making fat bass sounds? Do I need something like cubase? (or want to fork out that much cash) etc. Hmmm sorry about the noob questions.
