I haven't really had a chance to play around with it too much (installed it
at 1am with a fuzzy head!), but everything seems fast..

To be honest it seems to be running a tad slower than my previous ME install
(when performing basic Desktop functions), i.e. Refreshing windows is not as
quick as it was before...
But it was STUPIDLY quick before!!

>From what I've seen so far, you'd probably find it worth the agro to upgrade
your faster machine, it shouldn't have any problem with it..

Nick..

p.s. One strange thing I noticed when Upgrading was that all the way through
it was going on about how it would Backup the old version of windows and I
could restore it easily etc...
If it has backed it up then I've got no idea where it is! So beware! Just
something else to bare in mind!

How is the performance increase compared to win98?
Just curious... anyone?

I tried XP on my old system (AMD 550) and the system was crawling...
(compared to the previous win98 install), even disabling all graphic
eyecandy.

My production PC is an Athlon 1400.. with win98 SE installed. Do you think I
can expect a performance increase if I install XP?
